It’s completely free\, family-friendly and a chance to spend the day exploring performances that surprise\, inspire and bring people together. \nAs one of only a handful of locations selected to host Freedom Festival on Tour\, Junction Goole is proud to continue its partnership with one of the UK’s leading international arts festivals\, bringing exceptional artists and extraordinary experiences to the heart of our community. \nFrom giant globes and gravity-defying circus to miniature worlds and contemporary dance\, every performance offers something different. DESCRIPTION:East Riding of Yorkshire Council has arranged for a series of fun\, family-friendly walkabout street theatre performances by Markmark Productions to take place along the Boothferry Road precinct from 11.15am onwards. \nBe sure to look out for Team Bgee\, Val & Halla and Chefs De Chansons as you make your way to and from the many events and attractions taking place across the town centre. \n‘Popular pop icons’ Team Bgee will make an appearance from 11.15am\, encouraging audiences to sing and boogie along with them as they parade and perform their funky love classics. \nTwo Abba-obsessed Scandinavians who bring mayhem and mirth wherever they go\, Val & Halla will be travelling in their musical longboat as they plunder\, pillage and pirouette their way around the town from 12.45pm. \nFrom the country that brought you baguettes\, berets and brie\, Chefs De Chansons are a team of patriotic\, partisan pastry chefs from Paris. They will make an appearance from 2.15pm.

DESCRIPTION:Everyone is welcome to join the Friends of West Park for a Maypole Celebration and Teddy Bears’ Picnic in West Park on the first Bank Holiday Monday in May. \nThere will be dancing around the Maypole from 11.30am to 12.30pm\, followed by a Teddy Bears’ Picnic from 12.30m to 1.30pm. \nIce creams will be on sale and West Park Cafe will be open as usual. Picnic lunches are available from the cafe\, but must be pre-ordered. The first 20 picnic lunches be provided free of charge\, thanks to Friends of West Park. \nWeather permitting\, there will also be free craft activities on the band stand\, courtesy of Huddle Goole. \nGoole District Lions and Goole Civic Society have kindly donated prizes for a Teddy Bear’s Picnic competition and there are various categories for people to enter\, including Cutest Teddy Bear\, Best Handmade Costume\, Creative Use Of Recycled Materials\, Best Family Affort\, and a special Bicentenary Award. \nThis event is free to attend.
