Artful Goole

Following the recent success of the Goole Coat of Arms community art project, Goole Museum will host a new monthly art group called Artful Goole.

Led by local artist Janet Porter, the group’s first project is to create a large fabric backdrop of Goole based on a painting by another local artist, Harold Mason. The finished artwork will be used as a backdrop for Janet’s Dockside Folk Dance Group.

The group is free to attend and open to everyone. No experience is necessary, it’s about socialising, having fun and creating something attractive and useful.

The group will meet at Goole Museum on the third Wednesday of every month, starting from May 20, from 1.15pm.

Dates for future sessions include 17 June, 15 July, 19 August, 16 September, 21 October and 18 November.
