Bicentenary Flotilla Photography Competition

As part of its Waterways Heritage Festival, which is taking place across the weekend, Yorkshire Waterways Heritage Society is running a photography competition for young people under the age of 25 years to coincide with the Flotilla Of Vessels.

Although the flotilla’s procession around the docks will take place on Saturday 18 July, vessels will be arriving and congregating in Goole from Friday 17, so there will be plenty of opportunity to capture images on both days. Entrants are encouraged to photograph and video what they see happening on the canal and in the docks the day before the Flotilla Of Vessels and on the actual day of the event.

All entries must be submitted to Yorkshire Waterways Heritage Society before midnight on 18 July. They will be published on the society’s website to provide a permanent visual record of the Bicentenary Flotilla of Vessels.

Substantial prizes will be awarded to the very best entries, including a top prize of £250 worth of Amazon vouchers.
