Coat Of Arms Community Art Session

Local artist Janet Porter is leading two community art sessions at Goole Museum to create a large wall hanging inspired by Goole’s coat of arms.

The FREE sessions will take place on Wednesday 21 and Friday 23 January, from 1pm to 3pm, and everyone is welcome to go along and take part.

Janet Porter, of Bungalow Arts in Victoria Street, Goole, said: “The Goole coat of arms with the Vikings is stunning and I think it will be exciting to involve the community in turning it into a colourful collage using paint and fabric.”

If more time is needed, the project will continue the following Wednesday and Friday afternoons at the same times. Anyone who would like to take part is asked to register their interest nu emailing Janet or texting 07939 032224.

This project is one of many that the Goole 2026 Bicentenary Community Group is co-ordinating during 2026.
