Downtown In Goole

The Halle orchestra, Orchestras Live and East Riding Schools Music Service are delighted to bring you an evening of music performed by The Halle and young people from Goole, as part of the Goole Creates project.
Join The Halle and DeltaSide, Goole’s newest youth ensemble, for a wonderful evening of orchestral music for all the family, celebrating creativity and community. Students from Goole Academy and Riverside Community Special School have been working with two Halle orchestra musicians and music leader/composer Kris Halpin to create their own music inspired by the world of gaming. This will be performed during the concert, alongside music played by The Halle. The programme for the evening will also include well-known classical pieces.
Drawing inspiration from gaming worlds, the young musicians have explored the friendships and rivalries of characters, and the unique environments they inhabit, in brand-new music composed and performed by DeltaSide. Their performance is the culmination of year two of the Goole Creates project, which aimed to create an inclusive ensemble made up of young people from Goole. Led by East Riding Schools Music Service and Orchestras Live, Goole Creates has benefited from the support of Youth Music and the Goole Fields Wind Farm.
Led by Sarah Ewins, the Halle Orchestra will be joined on stage will be Kris Halpin and DeltaSide, an ensemble of students from Goole Academy and Riverside Community Special School.
