The Seaman’s Memorial helps us all to remember the multitude of mariners and watermen from Goole who are no longer with us.
It has even greater significance this year, the 200th anniversary of the opening of the port and town.
As part of this Memorial Service, David Scrimgeour of the Yorkshire Waterways Heritage Society will give a brief history of Goole’s two hundred years.
